Fantastic!

Everything everyone else has said about this place is true – cleanliness fantastic, amenities superb (we had a roof terrace with fabulous views). In addition, location is good – literally a few minutes walk up to the main street where the first thing you see is Jimmy’s pub, with most of the other restaurants/shops/wine tasting a few doors away from each other. We were due to stay 2 nights but stayed 3. Thoroughly recommend this, and the town itself is the friendliest we’ve visited during our 3 years so far in SA.

I would give this place more than 5 stars if I could! The hosts are really warm and lovely, and the little details make the stay feel super luxurious and comfortable:

– super soft linens and towels

– an outdoor shower with granadilla vines

– chocolates and biscuits by the coffee station

– gorgeous furnishings and beautiful lighting

– outdoor seating in multiple areas, including a deck to watch the sunset from

– a book in each room with tips on where to eat, menus of local restaurants, small outings in the area and pretty walks.

Honestly I’ll stay here every time I’m in the area, that’s for sure. JUST WONDERFUL!

Modern stylish decor. Fresh, clean and new furnishing, appliances, and linen. Host respects your privacy. Close enough to main street to walk to restaurants and shops, at the same time far enough to be able to enjoy the peace and views of McGregor. Highly recommended, if you want to treat yourself to a 5 star stay. Highly recommended.

Best getaway weekend ever – what a pleasure! From the comfortable bed, air-conditioned room, espresso coffee machine and TV with Netflix. Spacious bathroom!

Lovely view, with an olive grove! Walking distance to many restaurants and coffee shops too.

Hosts Didi and Jake just rounded the weekend off with their attentiveness. Very friendly couple and knowledgeable about what to see and do in the area.

This place was absolutely stunning! The space was gorgeous, lovely big room and amenities were perfect. The outdoor shower was a dream and it was lovely and quiet at night so we got a great nights’ sleep, especially with the mosquito net around the bed. Would highly recommend, two thumbs up from me. Best Lodging in McGreggor

Beautiful gardens, gracious hosts, spacious and perfect location. Just some of the reasons to stay at this beautiful homestead. The rooms are extra large with luxurious bathrooms and even an outdoor shower. Rooms are connected to a central courtyard with lush greens and fountain. The rooftop terraces provide for excellent views and sunset opportunity. There is no doubt that this is the best place to stay in McGregor

Highly recommended! It has the most gorgeous gardens, beautiful spacious rooms with everything you need and the location is perfect. The property has a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. Amazing host, incredibly helpful. One of the best places I’ve stayed 🙂 Already stayed there twice and will definitely be back!

What an amazing find! We had the most wonderful, relaxing stay and the host was so welcoming and friendly. The unit was modern, spacious and tastefully decorated and was in an ideal location. We particularly enjoyed the gorgeous views from the rooftop deck, and the outdoor shower. There were many luxurious finishes and special touches that make this spot excellent value for money. Absolutely stunning!

The Bean Tree is the perfect spot for a getaway. It’s got everything… peaceful surrounds, comfortable beds, nice view, beautiful furnishings. Highly recommended!!

Magic Stay at the Bean Tree.

It was the perfect getaway to escape from all things stressful and truly relax South African style. The place is unbelievably stylish and there is no shortage of activities from hikes to wine farms. Our host was fantastic and the Bean Tree is a 10/10!

Probably the nicest accommodation in McGregor. Super stylish and comfy and walking distance to the little town. Having use of the pool on a hot day was a real treat. Amazing hosts that went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed and more.

The Bean Tree was the perfect place to stay with 3 of my friends and was conveniently situated near breath-taking hikes and beautiful wine farms. Highly recommend!

Nothing is too much trouble for the hosts even when you book on the day and arrive late! And what a property! It is architect designed with carefully separated living areas (specifically with Airbnb in mind). The result is private, spacious, immaculate and incredibly stylish with design features and other touches that you would only find in top class hotels but at an incredibly good price. We loved the shady courtyard, roof space, plunge pool and outside shower…well everything really! McGregor is an understated delight with active or tranquil activity on the doorstep and good cafes, restaurants and vineyards nearby. A totally unique experience all round and our best Airbnb find in SA.

Smart Accommodation and Attentive Hosting

From our first enquiry to our check-out at the end of our trip, we booked all of the rooms and they were all very modern with great fittings and decor. We had a great stay and I would highly recommend The Bean Tree for anyone visiting the area.

Stunning Modern Suite in McGregor

We stayed in Ndale a truly modern suite done in the style of a studio apartment. Close to all the restaurants, galleries & cafes in McGregor- literally a 2 min walk! The bathroom is stunning with both a large tub and a separate rain shower. All kitchen appliances were new and included a pod coffee maker! Thanx for a 5 star stay in every sense!
